The applicant’s sponsor must be a U.S. military or DoD command-sponsored civilian employee assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing unit, GSU or tenant unit. An essay and copies of college transcripts are required to complete the application process. You can find the application here.

Graduating seniors seeking a scholarship in the spring from the SSOSC must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA from Bitburg High School, a host nation school, a school serving a GSU attached to Spangdahlem AB, or a home-schooled student whose sponsor is assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing. SAT/ACT scores and an essay are also required to complete the application. Considered in the selection process are leadership roles, awards and honors, extracurricular activities, work experience and volunteerism. Students may plan to attend any accredited university, community college, trade or vocational school in the pursuit of either a 4-year or 2-year degree.
